For those of you that saw my segment on Arizona, I recommended a few of my favorite products to consider as you clean out your makeup for the New Year. I thought I’d give you some detailed information on those favorites here, because time in limited on TV! Ha!
The foundations I mentioned:
- Laura Mercier Candleglow – a great lightweight foundation that gives you a healthy glow. I think it works best on people who have normal to dry skin. If your skin is oily, you might want to try a different option.
- Laura Mercier Silk Creme – I love this foundation because it is provides amazing coverage, but it doesn’t feel heavy. I wore it on TV, and thought my skin looked healthy but not overdone. Hooray! Because this foundation is thicker, I like to apply it with a beauty blender. Depending on your skin type, you can buy the oil free version or the hydrating version.
- Stila Stay All Day Foundation – This foundation wears so well! It seriously stays in place all day like it claims. It also photographs really well, which I love. Like the Silk Creme, it is a little thicker, so I use the beauty blender to apply it. However, it does not feel heavy on the skin. And, this particular formula works particularly well if you have rosecea or acne.
If you want to try the stila bronzer, you can get it here. I love that you get a lot of bronzer for the price! I love applying it with the stila wonder brush. You can also try this affordable option from Eco Tools.
The eye shadows I showed were from Urban Decay. The Naked 3 Palette is my current favorite. However, I do love the customizable palette. All of the individual shadows Urban Decay sells fit in this palette. This allows you to create a palette that is perfect for you rather than a palette that is designed to meet the needs of a large group of consumers.
