Non-Touring – A MUST Try Look for Summer

There’s a new no-fuss makeup trend that is perfect for summer. It’s been called “Spanx for the face,” because you are wearing something, but few people can really tell that it’s actually there. Awesome, right?

Doesn’t that sound perfect for a day at the pool, beach, or lake? Or, is it destined to become your new go-to look each day. Because let’s be honest – few people really wear no makeup. They usually wear at least something.

So what is non-touring? It’s about smoothing out the texture of your skin, getting rid of redness, keeping your makeup on all day, and highlighting your key features – all while letting your face breathe because you are not wearing a lot of makeup. Here’s what you need:

  • primer
  • tinted moisturizer
  • highlighter

First you apply primer, then tinted moisturizer. After, you use a highlighter on the cheekbones, brow bones, bridge of the nose, and cupid’s bow.

I tried out non-touring for a day (see the middle picture above), and had a few thoughts:

I’d prefer CC cream rather than a primer and tinted moisturizer. The two felt much heavier on my skin. I like the built-in primer that CC creams offer.

I think adding blush and lip color is a must have for me. For quick application, I used stila’s convertible color in fuchsia because I love how it looks on both my lips and my cheeks.

What do you think of this fun and easy trend? Make it your own with blush, mascara, or brow gel. Then, put on your favorite pair of sunnies and head out for summer.

  1. I like this kind of look for summer but if I only had to choose a few products I too would opt for a lip/blush combo over highlighter and add mascara and brows, I need my brows.
