To me, eye puffiness, is one of the most frustrating beauty problems. People tend to think under eye bags are caused by a lack of sleep or tiredness. If only you could get enough sleep, this puffiness would go away!!! Not exactly, girls! Our eyes become baggy because the tissues and muscles around the eye area weaken as you age. You can pay for surgery for eye bags to permanently correct this issue or look for other less painful and expensive remedies to minimize the appearance of bags under your eyes.
There are two great anti-aging products I recommend to women with puffy eyes. Clinique’s All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage has a metal rollerball applicator which dispenses the serum on your bags. This can help minimize the swelling under the eyes. I also like Peter Thomas Roth’s Instant FIRMx Eye. This product firms up after just a few minutes. It can really help reduce the puffiness if you are willing to leave it on for a full five minutes before applying makeup.
When you have puffiness, it’s important to apply your concealer underneath the bags of your eyes. Then, blend up. If you apply it directly on the bags, it emphasizes the problem. I like concealer’s like YSL’s Touché Eclat. The lightweight texture with a bit of illumination will help your under eye area look more balanced.
To reduce the swelling around your eyes drink plenty of water so your skin is hydrated. You can also freeze cooling eye masks. Place them on your face before you do your makeup to reduce the puffiness. This is a great option if you don’t want to invest in the Peter Thomas Roth product, but are still willing to spend the time in the morning to minimize the puffiness.
