Enter to learn…Go forth to serve. That is one of the things they tell you when you attend BYU – my alma mater. That advice has paid off for me over the last 10 years as I have worked as a makeup artist. Although not the typical career you’d expect from a BYU Business School graduate, it was something that I pursued and found success in. I think it is extremely rewarding to serve and learn from others. Sure there has been a lot of hard work involved too. But, what an honor to have attended a school that values service!
Recently, I had the opportunity to visit BYU! Wow! How much has changed. The Tanner Building is twice the size! It was a special experience to be on the campus with four Marriott School grads (pictured above) in my family and my sweet son, Harvey. It made me even more honored that I was recently selected for a spotlight in the alumni magazine.
The education you receive at BYU is unlike any other. I love their unique campus and was filled with gratitude that I was once a student there. I felt a little like a tourist, and made sure to get a BYU shirt for me and Harvey. Go Cougs!!!
