Back to School Makeup With Two Beauties

I had the most wonderful time doing back to school makeup with these two beauties on Monday.  Both Madison and Brittany have beautiful skin, amazing brows, and great eye shapes.  They reminded me of Lea Michelle.  I worked with one of her makeup artists a few times.  Lea Michelle wears minimal makeup a lot of time – cream eyeshadow, mascara, tinted moisturizer, concealer, blush, and lipstick.  This may sound like a lot for you, but it’s minor for a celeb about to walk the red carpet.  And it’s the perfect amount for Maddison and Brittany – busy teens who wake up early to attend church seminary before school.

Madison:

Complexion: Stila CC Cream, Bobbi Brown Concealer, Benefit Oh La La Lift

Eyeshadow: Champagne eyeshadow (base),  bronze eyeshadow (lid)

Eyeliner: Stila’s smudgestick in jade

Lips and Cheeks: Stila’s pomegranate crush

Brittany:

Complexion: Stila illuminating BB Cream, Benefit Oh La La Lift

Eyeshadow: Clinique cream eyeshadow, copper eyeshadow (lid)

Liner: Stila smudgestick in bluefin

Cheeks: Cream blush

Lips: Sephora lip gloss in poppy

A lot these products Maddison and Brittany already owned. They just needed some instruction on how to use them.  I wanted them to use makeup that looks brighter not darker.  This is often a great way to enhance our eyes – especially for young girls with great eye shapes.  Instead of picking the normal black eyeliner, we choose a fun color instead.  Madison and Brittany actually picked their favorite shade out of all of my different eyeliners.  I love that this encourages them have fun with makeup and express their personality.  We finished with a pop of color on their lips.

If you are heading back to school and want to recreate a similar look, try to brighten your makeup by choosing lip color and eyeshadow that make your features pop.  Also, look for simple products that are easy to apply.  I love that both of the girls blushes do not require brushes!  Good luck.  xo
