Eyeliner is essential for nearly every makeup application, but it can also be expensive. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite drugstore ones, so you don’t have to pay a fortune if you want a good product.
The less than $5 price point of this liner makes it a no-brainer for eyeliner. True to Kajal/Kohl type eyeliners, it glides on easily. It is ideal if you are looking for more of a soft liner look. It also looks great on the waterline. I love that it comes in a nice warm brown color, which is ideal for redheads and many blondes. You can also choose the black color for a dark, sultry eye look.
I love this felt tip pen for applying liquid eyeliner. I’ve had one for over 8 months, and I am just starting to run out of it! That’s amazing. Obviously, I don’t use it daily, but it has lasted a lot longer than other alternatives.
L’Oreal also makes a decent liquid eyeliner, and the best part is that it comes in brown and grey. I find that these colors are option easier to apply when it comes to a liquid liner, and they are option less harsh looking on the eyes.
Another great eyeliner for a softer line is Covergirl’s perfect blend liner. I am a big fan of eyeliners that smudge and think this one stays on a lot longer than other smudgy liner alternatives. It’s also a great liner to apply in the waterline.
I love using a flesh toned colored eyeliner on the waterline for smaller eyes. Many brands make these, and Pixi’s is a nice price point compared to prestige brands. You can also use this liner to brighten up tired eyes. I do not recommend it if you already have larger eyes.
Consider this crayon your eyeliner and eyeshadow in one. It’s waterproof, easy to apply, and particularly awesome if you want a quick and easy makeup look.
Last, but not least, Maybelline’s gel eyeliner is a must-have if you want to perfect your cat eye. I recommend using it underneath the pen. It’s often easier to control and manipulate the gel. Once you have perfected the line of the cat eye, you can top it with liquid.
